As quickly as I started riding horses, I fell in love. A woman of many interests and hobbies, somehow horseback riding found me differently. Equal parts dangerous, exhilarating, and challenging, the idea of working in tandem with another creature whose size was as big as my own ego was uncharted territory for me. And so, just as quickly as this avocation found me, I found Clovis.

My favorite take on the equestrian world is the epitome of regal tradition it has carried for centuries. As such, I wanted to create a concept that emphasized this nobility for contemporary use. And to me, there is simply no symbol more exemplary of royal elegance than one we all know: The Fleur-de-lis.
As legend has it, King Clovis I – the first king of what is now modern-day France – was gifted the iconic Fleur-de-lis in his coronation in 498, its first known origin. The motif has since become synonymous with sophistication and heraldry, and has been used worldwide as an emblem of nobility.
Today, the Fleur-de-lis is paired strategically with an Eggbutt Snaffle bit to conjoin the tenets of both regality and horsemanship, and to form Clovis Equestrian.
